A friend had one of these recently when we were camping and I loved it, so I jumped at the opportunity to test one myself.You get 10m of string lights which can either be static warm white or flashing RGB, as well as the main light on the front with different brightness settings, a USB-C charging cable and a remote control. The light can also be charged via solar, which is handy as a backup, and it has a USB output so you can use it to charge your phone.There’s a magnet on the back so you can attach it to your car or any other metal surface, and the end of the string lights has a little hook. We attached my friend’s one to her camper and strung the lights across to my car, where we hooked them on, and they looked lovely.We live in a rural area and get power cuts quite often, so the magnetic back is really useful for this too. I’ve put it on the fridge so it’s easily accessible if we have a power cut and I don’t have to go hunting around for a torch.The mechanism for winding the lights back in works well and makes it much easier to store them without ending up with a tangled mess. For £14.99 I think it’s a really versatile little light and good value for money. I’m pleased with it.

We took these lights on a camping trip and they did a fantastic job of illuminating the tent. The 10-metre length gives you plenty of coverage, and there are lots of different lighting modes to choose from, so you can easily find something to suit what you're doing. My daughter particularly enjoyed the colourful party lighting mode!Battery life has been very good, and the different charging options make these particularly useful for camping. Being able to recharge via USB is convenient, while the solar charging provides a handy backup option when you're away from a power source.For the price, I think these represent excellent value. They're versatile, provide a good level of light and have plenty of useful features. A really good addition to our camping equipment.

Wow, a warm glow and colour options.A handy option for adding some light around a tent, balcony or garden without needing a power socket, and 10m is a good length.The reel makes them fairly easy to store and helps keep the cable from getting tangled, while the remote is useful for changing the settings without having to reach the lights.The solar charging works best with plenty of direct sunlight, so the brightness and running time can vary depending on the weather.They’re lightweight and easy to set up, although they’re more suited to creating ambient lighting than providing strong illumination.

Really clever 10m camping string lights with both warm white and RGB colours. The retractable reel keeps everything tidy, and the different lighting modes are great for tents, caravans, gardens or evenings outside.I especially like the USB-C rechargeable battery, remote control and built-in power bank, lots of useful features packed into one little unit. Finally, camping lights that don't come out of the bag looking like a bowl of spaghetti! 😂💡

This is a light for camping and other places where mains power supply is limited and it packs a lot into a small device.First and foremost it's a single light, but it does a lot more than that - it's also a 10m (33ft) string of lights on a reel that is fully contained within the light housing and an emergency power bank. So far, so good. There are multiple light modes - low candlelight, flashing coloured light, breathing coloured light, high candlelight and warm light to suit every occasion. The string is unwound by pulling a small hook on the side of the light and re-wound with the fold away handle on the top of the light, there's also a hanging loop and blue power level display. There's no need for batteries as it's solar powered or can be charged before use then use solar power as a top-up. Excellent.The IP rating (Ingress Protection) is IP44 which is 4 (out of 6) for dustproofness and 4 (out of 9) for waterproofness so it's protected against solids over 1mm in size and splashing water from any direction so it should be safe for use in light rain and wind if used outdoors.All this and a remote control too - this light really packs a punch.The casing is sturdy (I accidentally dropped it on the floor and it was undamaged) and well made, and it feels like it will be robust for most outdoor uses.AT £14.99 (as at 14 September 2026) I think this is very well priced and definitely worth consideration.

I used these 10m solar string lights in a garden and camping-style setup to see how practical they were to put up, use and pack away, and the retractable reel turned out to be one of the features I liked most.The string pulls out smoothly and gives a useful amount of coverage around a tent, patio or seating area. Being able to wind it back onto the reel afterwards is much neater than dealing with loose string lights, and it makes storage far less frustrating.The lighting itself is versatile. The warm-white setting is the one I preferred for normal evening use because it gives a pleasant ambient light without feeling too harsh. The RGB colours and different modes are more decorative, but they are useful if you want something more festive. The remote makes switching between colours, modes and brightness much easier once the lights are already hung up.For camping, the lights are bright enough for finding things around a tent or creating a comfortable seating area, but I would not treat them as a replacement for a proper torch or safety light.The dual charging options are also useful. Solar charging is convenient when the panel can be left in good daylight, but it is naturally dependent on the weather. USB-C charging is much more predictable and gives you a reliable way to recharge the internal battery before a trip.The power-bank function is a nice extra rather than the main reason to buy these. With a stated 2000mAh capacity, it can provide some emergency power to a suitable small device, but it is not a substitute for a proper high-capacity power bank.The main limitation is that solar charging can be slow in poor weather, and runtime will naturally fall if you use the brighter modes for long periods. It is also worth checking the actual weather-resistance guidance for the reel, ports and other components rather than assuming every part has the same protection.Overall, I found these to be a very practical set of outdoor string lights. The reel keeps them organised, the 10m length provides useful coverage, the warm-white and RGB modes offer plenty of choice, and the solar and USB-C charging make them flexible for camping as well as garden use.

The warm white is great for creating some ambient light around the tent in the evening, while the different colours and modes are there when you want something a little more decorative.Probably my favourite feature is the retractable reel. I've used camping fairy lights before and packing several metres of cable away can quickly turn into a tangled mess. With these, winding everything back onto the reel makes storage considerably easier.Having solar and USB-C charging gives plenty of flexibility when we're away, and the built-in 2000mAh battery can also be used as an emergency power bank if needed. The included remote is handy for changing the lighting without having to get back out of the tent.They're also useful for making our tent much easier to identify when walking back across a dark campsite at night.A clever combination of camping light and traditional string lights, with the reel making them considerably more practical to pack away afterwards.

Love it small but effective

It is really high quality and design.It has white or colorful lights; you can use either. Also you can use either string lights or the regular round one, inside or outside the house. I bought more than one and gifted some to family and friends.
