Put Motion on Your Desk

This swinging sticks kinetic sculpture turns two counterweighted aluminum arms into a changing display of balance and motion. A hidden electromagnetic drive keeps the arms moving above the base. Choose Black, Gold or Silver to give your desk, shelf or office a moving focal point.

Watch the mechanism at work

The arms swing and cross at irregular intervals, creating a pattern that keeps changing as you watch. The electromagnetic mechanism supplies energy to sustain the movement; this is a powered kinetic display, not a machine that generates unlimited energy.

Choose your finish and display space

Arms: two counterweighted aluminum rods.
Drive: electromagnetic pulse mechanism.
Approximate display dimensions: 10 × 6 × 9 in (25.4 × 15.2 × 22.9 cm).
Options: Black, Gold or Silver, as shown in the selected finish’s photos.

Set the base on a stable, level surface and leave clear space around the moving arms. The listed dimensions are approximate; allow extra clearance for the motion. Batteries are not included for international shipments.

A gift for people who enjoy how things work

Place it beside a reading chair, on a home-office desk or in a study where the movement can be enjoyed. It makes a distinctive desk decoration for a physics enthusiast or someone who likes mechanical displays. Each order is for one sculpture in the selected finish.

Average desk ornament. The motion concept is cool and it does catch attention. Took a while to get the sticks balanced correctly and the battery life is mediocre. Decent for the price point.

It uses 6 AA batteries quite frequently. The problem is that the main body is not perfectly level with the base, and since the base is made of plastic, it feels cheap to the touch. The bar that serves as a support is also plastic, so the cheapness of the materials is noticeable. Additionally, there are some areas where the precision of the shaft is poor, and depending on the movement, the shaft makes a slight noise (not enough to be noticeable when slightly away, but a bit annoying when looking at it up close). I think they could make something of higher quality.","author":"Samantha P.","date":"2025-05-31T22:00:00.000Z","verified":true,"images":[]},{"rating":5,"title":"","body":"As described.","author":"Eric N.","date":"2025-05-25T22:00:00.000Z","verified":true,"images":[]},{"rating":5,"title":"","body":"Very cool","author":"Brenda M.","date":"2025-05-15T22:00:00.000Z","verified":true,"images":[]},{"rating":5,"title":"","body":"It's really fun to watch, top quality.","author":"Edward L.","date":"2025-05-12T22:00:00.000Z","verified":true,"images":[]},{"rating":5,"title":"","body":"Very nice item and good quality.","author":"Judy K.","date":"2025-05-01T22:00:00.000Z","verified":true,"images":[]},{"rating":5,"title":"","body":"Expensive for what it is.
